Overview

Tyler J. Hudson is a real estate attorney, representing clients with entitlement and transaction matters involving the acquisition, disposition, development, financing and leasing of property, as well as with land use, zoning and regulatory matters. Tyler also advises clients on business matters such as acquisitions, dispositions, formations, and structuring, along with general contract issues.

Prior to GBH, Tyler practiced at Holland & Knight LLP from 2013 to 2018, in both the corporate and real estate transactional groups of the firm’s Tampa office.

Before practicing law, Tyler was a principal with Hilltop Public Solutions, a consulting firm in Washington, D.C. At Hilltop, he managed integrated government relations campaigns for multinational corporations and trade associations in the aviation, pharmaceutical and reinsurance industries. Tyler also advised political campaigns in the areas of speechwriting, message development, debate preparation and field organizing.

Outside the office, Tyler devotes time to a range of civic and philanthropic engagements involving land use and transportation. Tyler served on the Board of Directors of the Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority from 2020 to 2023 as an appointee of Mayor Jane Castor. An active leader with the Urban Land Institute (ULI), Tyler currently serves on the Executive Board for the Tampa Bay chapter and on the Florida Product Council for Urban Development and Mixed-Use.

Tyler and his wife Grace live in South Tampa with their son George and daughters Magnolia and Mary Claire.
